Why are people so hateful…… :( This is why I’m a hermit……

Hi everybody, happy Friday!

I need to vent……yes I know, seems like I do that a  lot.  Sorry, but y’all are the best way for me to do this.  I don’t think anyone I know reads my blog anyway, so it’s a perfect way for me to vent and nobody cares.

Soooo, many years ago, we started traveling full time for my hubby’s job.  This requires mostly campground living.  The are some absolutely awesome things about the job, so I’m not complaining about that part of it.  We are soooo very blessed that we’ve gotten to see and do all the things we have!  What I AM complaining about is the part that is not so awesome.  You meet lots of people and many many of them are “on the job” too.  You do not always work with the same people on each job, but from time to time you do see them again…there are times, you wish you didn’t.  We’ve been doing this for 12 years on the road full time, and early on (about 3 years in) I learned that people can be very mean and hateful.  They can be worse than those mean girls in school and I’m sooo not kidding.  When you’re in a campground, everybody knows everybody else’s business because you’re in close quarters.  I USED to be really sociable.  I would visit and get to know everyone on the job.  Go to lunch, shopping, all that fun stuff with “the girls”. I learned my lesson though.  I was mistreated, lied about, and ridiculed enough that I quit talking to people and started staying inside all the time, except to take my dogs out or go to the store.  I quit going lunch, shopping, having “girl” days.  It just wasn’t worth it to me.  I am always nice to everyone, but I no longer socialize like I used to.  It’s sad, I know, but you can only take so much.  We even try to stay in campgrounds where we don’t know anyone, or at least away from people we may know.

I have only kept up with a handful of the people we’ve met over the years.  We don’t really “talk”, but we keep in touch from time to time.  Someone that I’ve known for many years….our hubby’s worked on a few jobs together over the years…..sent me a message today.  She told me that this other person told her that I had told a bunch of women something about her and wanted to know if it was true.  Good grief.  The last time I saw either of them was 3-4 years ago, and I don’t tell anyone anything.  Why would I do that to someone?  I literally try to live by the Golden Rule and darned sure don’t want anyone else to have to go through what I’ve been through.  I thought she knew me well enough to know that (She was pre-hermit stage), but apparently not since she still felt the need to ask, which tells me she wondered, and that really hurts my heart. 😦  I thanked her for coming directly to me with it though.  People’s personal business is none of my business, and I just don’t do things like that.  Apparently you don’t even have to be within 1000 miles of someone and they’ll still use and abuse you somehow, because they have nothing else better to do, even if they haven’t seen you in year! My feelings are so hurt I want to scream!   I don’t even tell anyone anything about myself anymore because why the heck would they care anyway?  Might as well keep all my problems, non-problems, sadness, and everything else to myself or it be misconstrued as who knows what.  No one cares anyway.  You can’t even be a good hermit without people trying to hurt you.  All people seem to care about is hurting others, or stirring stuff up and starting stuff to hurt people.  It’s just heart breaking. 😦 Because of caddy women like this, my poor hubby literally has to drag me out to go anywhere.  I order online as much as possible just so that I don’t have to go anywhere.  Sad huh?  I only leave the house when I absolutely have to.  I’ve learned to be perfectly happy this way.  Just me, my hubby and our dogs.

We were in an area recently for a couple of years, which was great.  We met lots of great people, but yet again, we ran into some of those saaaaame kind of people that do those same kind of things that made me want to not go out anymore.  I’m very cautious around people anymore and it takes a lot to earn my trust and friendship, but can you blame me?

Here I was having a great day today, and then this….  I met several nice people at the grocery store today that had improved my faith, somewhat, in a friendly humanity, in an area that I’m new to…..for a couple hours anyway…

It’s so hard for me because I’m one of those people that is naturally trusting, and just wants to help everyone, but you can get abused just so much before you want to crawl under a rock and not come out….

Soo, back to being a hermit……

Until next time, have a happy healthy day!  🙂

And so it is…..

Hi everybody, I hope you’re all happy and doing wonderfully.  🙂  I hope you’ll indulge me while I pour my heart out today…..

I pre-enrolled for a class in October of this last year for a class that does not start until September of this year.  I just requested a refund because of some personal things, and would you believe they said no?  Yep, they’re citing policy that states you have 21 days to ask for a refund, when class starts, and you may only request a refund on that 21st day.  Not one day before or one day after.  Well, day 1 of that 21 days hasn’t even begun!  That’s just not right!  There is a definite gray area, but they’re not budging.  I don’t even know if they’re going to let me ask for a refund on the 21st day!  I just don’t know what to do……frustrated……

This morning, I talked to my Dad.  Last July he was diagnosed with a very unique/rare form of Leukemia.  He’s been undergoing a type of chemo ever since along with almost 40 blood transfusions now, and platelets have recently started too.  A few weeks ago, they decided he’d been misdiagnosed.  They know it’s a blood dysfunction of some sort, but not sure exactly what it is yet.  They did a bone marrow biopsy last week and got the results yesterday.  His bone marrow is like cement.  They aren’t sure what that means exactly yet.  It could possibly mean that he’s got full blown Leukemia, orrrrr not.  If it is, his choices are three weeks in the hospital on a chemo drip, or hospice.  He says he’ll think about that when/if the time comes.  If we’re lucky it could be another year or more before he has to think about it.  Dad says dying is easy, it’s staying alive that’s hard.  He’s right.  It’s also very hard to sit around and be helpless while your Dad is clear across the country.  😦  So, we wait.  We pray for a miracle….

I’m soooo not ready for him to leave this earthly realm, but I don’t want him to suffer either.  I know in my heart he’ll be in Heaven, happy and healthy.  I know I will see him again one day, but it’s so very hard to think of that time coming so much sooner than we ever want.  Can’t we have another 20-30 years?  He’s only 71…

I’m thankful for some great memories that I will forever have though. My Dad taught me how to work on cars/trucks…..brake jobs, engine work, drive train.  Because of this I was able to put a starter on the car one time (wayyyy back in the late 80’s) while my hubby was at work.  They were both proud of me!  Dad also taught me many aspects of remodeling houses…..sheetrock, paint, roofing.  He taught me the proper use of a firearm, from shooting to proper cleaning.  He taught me to be strong and independent. I have learned so much and am so very thankful and grateful that I was lucky enough to get to learn all the things I have from him.  I’m grateful we got to spend time together last year.  It was the first time I’d seen him in two years and it’s been over a year since then.  I’m thankful we at least get to talk on the phone once in a while.  No matter what, I will forever and always be a Daddy’s girl and I’m proud of it.    I love you Daddy!

Thank you for letting me pour my heart out today, I needed that…….

Until next time, wishing each of you lots of great memories, love and Blessings……

I feel a customer service rant coming on…..

Hey everybody!  I realllllly hope your day has been better than ours!  We have just moved to our next adventure destination (honey bunny’s job has us traveling) for the rest of the year, soooo we had to call the satellite company to set us up on the ground, because the “fixed” one on top of the motorhome won’t pick up and since we can’t move it around, we can’t find an open space for it.  ANYWAY, I called the company two days ago, they set us up for an appointment between 12-4.  The technician called us a bit after 11, said he was ahead of schedule, could he go ahead and come out.  That sounded like good news……at the time.  He showed up about 12:30, looked around a few minutes, said “sorry” I can’t help you, I’ll call another tech.  Well, hello, there are two dishes within a few feet of us, with the SAME company we use, and you can’t set one up?  Really?  Come on now, don’t give me that.  I don’t think he even wanted to try.  He said the other tech would be here in about an hour.  Several hours passed, I went to the “online chat” area, told a rep the issue, they said someone would be contacting us.  Three more hours go by, stillllll nothing.  I went to “online chat” again.  They said someone was on the way and would be calling within 30 minutes.  That was almost 2 1/2 hours ago, still no one here, still no phone call.  I called the company AGAIN.  Finally got someone that is at least on the east coast, and now we’re set up for 3 days from now!  We’ll see if anyone actually shows up.  I’m so frustrated!  We have been with this company for 20 years and have NEVER had an issue like this before.  Their customer service is usually top notch, but apparently people here don’t care about work ethics, helping people, or the concept of time.  There are only a few things on my pet peeve list……one is being lied to.  Do NOT lie to me!  I might get my feelings hurt, but I’ll get over that.  You lie?  I won’t trust you anymore…EVER.  Which would you prefer?  The other issue is respect/common courtesy…..if you say you’re going to do something, do it.  If you can’t, then let the person know!  If you’re going to be late, then call, text, email.  SOMETHING!  Don’t just let it go!  That’s rude, inconsiderate, disrespectful and just downright wrong!!!!  People have more important things to do than sit around and wait all day for you to decide to NOT show up!  UGH……..  I have been soooo very patient today, and tried soooo hard to be nice and understanding, but after alllll these hours of nothing I’m worn out and unhappy……

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day…..

Until next time, I hope YOU have a great day!  🙂

What is Crystal Healing?

Hi y’all!  Happy Monday!

Some of y’all have probably noticed that I have added another certification this last year.  I became a Certified Crystal Healer in early November and plan to study more about crystals and crystal healing later this year to upgrade my certification to Advanced Crystal Master.

You may be wondering what a crystal healing session is, so I’m going to try and tell you a little more about it to help you to understand a bit more about is:

  • A bit like a spa treatment in that it can be deeply relaxing and rejuvenating
  • Clothing stays on, but shoes can be removed to be more relaxed and comfy
  • Minimal contact (placement and removal of crystals/stones only)
  • Session goals can include energy realignment, removal of blocked energy – these allow for healing and spiritual growth.  Different crystals have different energies that work by taking our out of balance energy and entraining it back into balance.  Depending on what is out of balance, I will choose a particular crystal to work with to bring what is out of balance, back into balance by placing a crystal in the area that needs work.
  • Energetic imbalances can cause ailments and/or emotional issues that balancing energies can assist in helping.
  • Promotes good health and energetic balance

These are just a few things to help give you an idea of what to expect in a session.  Many people fall asleep and awaken feeling energized!  I can also include Reiki during a session which to me is an added energy lift, as it goes where it’s needed most and is a wonderful extra layer of energy therapy.

Right now I’m only able to offer distance sessions due to travels, but energy therapy such as Crystal Healing and Reiki know no boundaries and work very well whether you’re there in person or not.

Here is an article that can help explain a bit more about distance healing…..

My hubby can attest to distance healing, as I work on him pretty often while he’s at work.

I hope this helps explain a bit more about Crystal Healing and I hope you will try it!  It’s amazing!!!!

Until next time!  Have a happy healthy day!!! 🙂

Warm Blooded or Cold-Blooded?

This is another great post that I’m re-blogging that I hope you’ll take the time to read and ponder.

And remember, just because other people do things doesn’t mean you have to.  Always do what is right even if you are standing alone.  It may be hard, but it’s better to do the right thing and be alone than follow others that are doing wrong…..

On My Heart

Every spring I think about this. As the weather turns warmer and we start seeing the trees’ new growth and leaves, we also start seeing creatures that have been sluggish, dormant, or in hibernation. They are cold-blooded animals. They draw their heat from their surroundings. Next time you’re raking old leaves in the corner of your backyard and you feel the warmth of that leaf pile on your ankles, remember that a dormant snake may also enjoy the warmth of that pile!

Snakes, lizards, bass (BASS!!!) and all kinds of reptiles awake from their winter dormancy or lethargy and become active as the sun warms their surroundings. Literally, their surroundings define their metabolism and activity.

Mammals are warm-blooded animals.  They operate from an internal generator of warmth.  They can be affected by their environment, but they depend on internal sources for metabolism.  Humans, in particular, respond to the environment but…

You can’t have it both ways when it comes to gas/oil products…..

Happy Friday everybody!

So, we again are here to hopefully educate everyone just a little more about why we need pipelines…..

A lot of people assume that because of my beliefs in alternative/natural medicine, rescuing animals, my thoughts on the environment that I am against anything that would affect the earth…..welllllll, I’ve got news for you there…..  I totally believe that we should be using more alternative/natural medicine, eating organic and non-gmo foods, saving trees and the environment to the best of our abilities.  BUT, we HAVE TO HAVE pipelines!  As I have said before, I have been a part of the natural gas/oil industry for many years and know how it works.  Do I want them to do it safely with as little impact as possible?  ABSOLUTELY!  It literally takes yearrrrs for one to be approved by the government.  They have to just through so many hoops and so much red tape it’s not even funny.  They do everything they possibly can to make sure they do as little damage to the environment as possible, all in order to bring us all the necessities in life that most people cannot live without……me being one of those that cannot live without many many maaaaaany of these products.

Here’s a small list of things made from petroleum products or by-products…..

Makeup, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, perfume, hair color, hair spray, contact lenses, lotion, sunscreen, shaving cream, razors, feminine products, diapers, computers, phones, printers, ink, televisions, gas, diesel, tires, antifreeze, asphalt, tar, motor oil, brake fluid, coolant, antihistamines, inhalers, aspirin, band aids, latex gloves, rubbing alcohol, syringes, anesthetics, cough syrup, artificial limbs, vitamins, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fertilizer, food preservatives, plastic of all kinds, Styrofoam, fabric softener, Teflon coated products, appliances, furniture, sponges, cleaning products, water pipes, wiring insulation, linoleum, upholstery, carpet, vinyl, shingles, paint, toys, instrument strings, cameras, photos, sports equipment, life jackets, helmets, heating (natural gas/propane), cooling, electricity generation, polyester, nylon, rayon, elastic, shoes, kerosene, aviation fuels, diesel fuels, dyes, detergents, additives, oxygenates, anti-fungal compounds, grease, paraffin wax, tar, petroleum jelly, soap, capsules, synthetic fibers, CDs/DVDs, Candles, paint, shoe polish, roof shingles, ammonia, crayons, paper cups, wax paper, chewing gum, breath mints, sun glasses, lip gloss, solvents, cassettes, curtains, dashboards, putty, skis, tool racks, mops, umbrellas, denture adhesive, speakers, tennis rackets, nylon rope, combs, vaporizers, heart valves, enamel, dentures, fan belts, floor wax, sports car bodies, caulk, faucet washers, dyes, TV cabinets, car battery cases, yarn, toilet seats, rubber cement, wheels, luggage, balloons, pillows, artificial turf, models, film, golf balls, pens, boats, golf bags, basketballs, purses, rugs, epoxy, fishing rods, ice cube trays, electric blankets, trash bags, skates, awnings, ice chests, paint brushes, parachutes, dishes, folding doors, cleats, fishing lures, tape, clothesline, linings, oil filters, glycerin, dice, surf boards, shower curtains, safety glasses, eyeglasses, footballs, curlers, heating your home, etc…………………………….

This is no where near a complete list, and forgive me if I duplicated anything, but I wanted you to see at least an idea of all the things that have been invented because of the product(s) from these pipelines.  You can’t have it both ways.  Now, if you can live without all these things, then more power to you!  Awesome!  BUT, without pipelines we can’t have all these products.  Well, I guess we could if you wanted it transported via train (very dangerous) or semi (even more dangerous and a much bigger carbon footprint), but pipelines really are safer.  Yes there are accidents but they are not always the fault of the pipeline company.  Of all the alternatives, I would rather have a pipeline (I at one time had 5 in my backyard and never had an issue) than see it transported via train or semi.  Just my two cents….

If you do not agree, that’s ok.  I respect your opinion, and I hope you will respect mine.  We can just agree to disagree and we will just leave it at that, should that be the case.

Ok, off my soap box…..

Have a Happy Healthy Day and a wonderful weekend!!!!! 🙂

Eucalyptus Shower disks

Happy Sunday everybody!!!

I’ve been wanting to try to do this for a while, and it was soooo easy and took less than 10 minutes so I thought I’d share!

What you need:  glass bowl, fork, muffin pan or candy molds, air tight container, plastic wrap.

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups Baking Soda

2 Tbsp. Arrowroot powder OR cornstarch

2 Tbsp. and 1 Tsp. Water

3/4 tsp. Eucalyptus Essential oil (120 drops) or a smidge more

1/2 tsp. Peppermint Essential Oil

Mix ingredients together really really realllllllllllllllllly well, then scoop into muffin pan/tin (or candy molds) and press down really well.  Cover and let dry overnight.  Place in airtight container and use whenever it strikes your fancy!  🙂  Don’t place directly under the water or it’ll go away really fast, so off to the side so it melts slowly is best.

Here’s the video, with my assistant Torch and extra vocals from his sister Sassy:

Annnnd there ya go!  Until next time!  Have a Happy Healthy Day!!!

Enjoy!!!
